So the Mission of San Francisco is one of my favorite areas. I think I might of mentioned this before. Its one of the last places which has survived without massive gentrification. Unfortunately, it is under a lot of pressure these days. Low income housing is disappearing. People are being moved out and the prices are going up.
I love the fact that artists still have some lean here. It was a beautiful Sunday and we headed down to check out the art work. There are several areas that are adorned with these murals. Some are hispanic in nature. This one was more contemporary / modern and just having the chance to check it out at our own pace was a blessing.
Maria was styling and we managed to get in a few stops at the boutique shops along the way.
There are two places that I would consider moving to. Marina is beautiful - but full of uptight wankers. Russian hill would be perfect. But, of all the places that give San Fran a sense of character, the Mission is best.
